Dimensional planes

Dimensional Planes is a three-movement exploration of imagined universes at the keyboard: Parallel Universes, Between Universes and The Ultimate Multiverse. The opening juxtaposes two pitch worlds with an improvisatory playfulness; the central movement is static, as if suspended between worlds; and the finale turns to dense polyrhythm inspired by Indian and African rhythmic patterns. What began as a tonal, minimalist idea gradually became a more complex work. The first two movements were performed at a Kaleidoscope composition concert at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
