Saisons Extrêmes

Saisons Extrêmes takes themes from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons as its point of departure, recasting familiar material through increasingly sharp contrasts. Written for the Andrée Charlier competition, where it did not receive a prize, the piece also contains a deliberate allusion to climate change: as the climate becomes less stable, the seasons themselves seem to grow more extreme.
