Sounds of Thoughts

Sounds of Thoughts was written after meeting Helmut Lachenmann at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where I presented Marche Fatale to him. I followed his work closely throughout the week he spent at the conservatory, and our exchanges about music, composing and listening became the immediate inspiration for this short clarinet quintet.
